Child and Adolescent Assessments 102
ITR is a measurement-based protocol and we have assessments we recommend for children and adolescents.Parents and caregiver assessments are included to getting a full picture of the client. The assessments are simple to use and are very effective in understanding where your client is when they start with you and how they progress along the way.
Assessments to determine stability and readiness for treatment, severity of post-traumatic stress symptoms and event specific post-traumatic symptoms:
- Adolescent Dissociative Experiences Scale (A-DES-II)
- Child Dissociative Checklist (CDC)
- Parent Report of Post-Traumatic Symptoms (PROPS)
- Child Report of Post-Traumatic Symptoms (CROPS)
- Child PTSD Symptom Scale (CPSS)
- Child Revised Impact of Events Scale (CRIES)
- Additional Assessments: PSC-17, Scared Brief Assessment, Mood and Feelings Questionnaire
1.5 CEs NBCC and WV BSW
"Along with a clinical interview and collateral data, the ITR recommended assessment are crucial in working with a child or adolescent. You will be able to monitor progress along the way and it allows for a lot of psychoeducation as well."
